I appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. New federal and state regulations are happening daily, which has been challenging from a planning perspective. These are the most recent updates.
Starting on Monday, March 23rd
Food deliveries will only occur on Mondays, but will contain enough food for the week.
Our hours of operation will be from 8:00am-11:30am. If you need to contact the school, email is the most reliable.

| Federal Testing Requirements, State Grades 3-8 Assessments Suspended
The President announced this morning that the federal government is going to waive all testing requirements.
The New York State Education Department followed by announcing, “The administrations of the 2020 elementary- and intermediate-level State assessments have been suspended for the remainder of this school year.” This includes 4th &8th grade science exams |
Advanced Placement Exams (AP) will be given online. More details will be shared by AP teachers.
We are still awaiting guidance on Bridge Courses and Regents Exams.
Our April Break has not been affected by the closure. If we were to return to school on April 1st, as the governor has suggested, we would still have our April break.
| Spring Break and Emergency Days Interplay with 180-day Requirement
“Districts will not need to use vacation and emergency days to make up days missed in response to Executive Order 202.4. As part of the Executive Order, school districts are required to develop and implement a plan for alternative instructional options, including distance learning. It is expected that instruction and learning will continue during the two-week period.”

| Essential Workers
Today the Governor announced that 100% of non-essential workers must stay home. We are awaiting official language, but have taken measures to significantly reduce staff on campus starting on Monday.
