September 3, 2025 – Boquet Valley Central School District is committed to meeting its obligations under the New York State Education Department (NYSED) guidelines to ensure that all students with disabilities from birth through age 21 are identified, located, and evaluated in accordance with federal and state law.
This responsibility requires school districts to maintain an up-to-date roster of resident students with disabilities, including those attending public schools, private schools, parochial schools, charter schools, or receiving instruction at home. It also extends to children who are homeless, wards of the state, highly mobile, or not currently enrolled in school programs.
The purpose is to guarantee that students with suspected or confirmed disabilities receive the services, supports, and protections to which they are entitled under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Article 89 of New York State Education Law.
Parents, guardians, and community members who are aware of a child who may have a disability and is not currently receiving services are encouraged to contact the District Office at (518) 873-6371 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
