We’re proud to share that our Griffin Model UN team took home the award for Best Delegation at last week’s new Model UN event, Champlain Valley Model UN.
The inaugural CVMUN was held Thursday and Friday, Dec. 4 and 5, at SUNY Plattsburgh. It was organized by a team from the university’s education program, with high schoolers from PHS and several other school districts staffing the event. It joins Beekmantown MUN and North Country MUN as a new opportunity for local students to try the Model United Nations experience.
Boquet Valley’s delegation joined 10 other school districts from across the region. The Griffins represented the country Nepal, and they were awarded Best Delegation for their work, the highest honor in Model United Nations. The team was comprised of:
- Grace Kullman
- Nate Sayre
- Trenton Lyon
- Andrew Denton
- Margot Hall
- Keir Furman
- Sophia Iten-Hawxhurst
Several Griffins also won additional awards.
- Best Delegate: Margot Hall
- Outstanding Delegate: Nate Sayre
- Honorable Mention: Keir Furman
Congratulations to the whole team on their excellent work! Thanks to Model UN advisor Peter Castine for his leadership!
